A website care plan is a set of bundled services that we use to keep your website operating in tip-top shape. These services include security, performance, backups, monitoring, malware protection, and more.

Owning a website comes with responsibilities. Like anything else in the digital world, a website needs to be maintained and monitored to maximise its effectiveness, to ensure that it continues to work properly and run smoothly and not have things break unexpectedly. Without regular updates and monitoring your website is at risk.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which plan is right for my organisation?

For most of our clients, we would typically recommend the STANDARD care plan. This plan is best for small websites and includes everything you need to keep your site running safely and securely. It also comes with 30 minutes support time per month which is generally enough to upload new images or make small copy changes to keep your website fresh.

For larger websites with more functionality, higher traffic, we recommend the PRO and PREMIUM care plans. These include additional monthly support and extra checks to optimise your database to ensure unnecessary data doesn’t slow down your site’s performance. The Premium plan also provides a Strategy Call to check in on your business objectives and discuss how your website can help achieve them.

What tasks are included in the dedicated support time?

Content update requests and small design improvements are the most common requests, so any job that can fit into half an hour is included in the dedicated support time. Requests for new features to your website will likely result in a formal quote as those commonly go over the monthly dedicated time.

What is your cancellation policy?

Care plans may be cancelled at any time with 30 days’ notice in writing (email is fine). If it’s not working out for you, no problem! We’re happy to stop the Care Plan when needed, with just a little notice. Unused hours for that 30-day period will not be refunded after cancellation, but can be used up until the end of the period. If you’re canceling with more than one month left on the annual plan, you’ll get a pro-rated refund for the unused time (minus the 30 days’ notice).

In addition, if we need to cancel your plan, we will give you 30 day’s notice, and any appropriate pro-rated refund for unused time (minus the 30 days’ notice).

Can I upgrade / downgrade my plan?

Yes, of course. Use our Contact form to get in touch with us and we’ll sort that for you.

My website was built by someone else. Can I still be on a Care Plan?

Although these plans are for WordPress websites we have built, we welcome new clients who are looking for a long term relationship with us. As long as your website is currently running on WordPress, we can get you setup with one of our customer care plans.

For websites that we didn’t build (and that are hosted elsewhere), we charge a fixed onboarding fee of £250. This process includes a full audit of your site, including a review of your hosting, security and malware, backups, software licensing, website performance and design. This enables us to provide your company with the best support levels going forward. Contact us for more details.

What if I need more hours?

If you have a task that require more than your dedicated monthly time, we provide additional hours at our current support rate of £40 per hour discounted from our normal rate of £60 per hour.
